FAQs
1 Can you provide medical advice to my family or answer questions about my child’s care?
Due to my clinical and research commitments at Cortica, I am unfortunately unable to personally diagnose or provide care recommendations to families. I encourage you to consult my book, “Magnificent Minds” for more information on a whole-child approach to care and to reach out to a healthcare professional near you so that you feel more supported in your journey and aware of your loved ones opinions.
2. Do you serve patients who do not live near a Cortica center or who live outside of the country?
We are unfortunately not able to serve patients who are unable to travel to a Cortica center. However, Cortica is opening new centers across the country every 2-3 months. We encourage you to check our website regularly for our new locations. We also are expanding our telehealth capabilities in 2025 and will be able to offer many components of whole-child autism care virtually across much of the country. Our website will be continuously updated with new information on our telehealth services. In the meantime, we encourage you to search for autism care professionals in your area so that you feel more supported and aware of your family’s options.
3. Can I set up a meeting with you to discuss my child?
Due to my research commitments and consultations with families currently served by Cortica, I am unfortunately not able to provide direct support for your family. Depending on where you live, we encourage you to reach out to your nearest Cortica center. All of our world-class pediatricians, neurologists, and other clinicians follow the whole-child model outlined in “Magnificent Minds." You can call Cortica directly at 888-885-5068 or email info@corticacare.com.
4. Do you have any recommendations for pediatric neurologists/physicians in my area?
I encourage you to consult the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology’s board-certified physician search feature. As a starting point, this search page may help you to identify prospective physicians in your area who specialize in child neurology.
5. Can I volunteer or work with you/Cortica?
While we do not have any volunteer roles available at Cortica, we do have many paid career opportunities available. If you are interested in learning more and applying to join our team, please visit www.corticacare.com/careers.
